Elxokas and Burger King: The Collaboration That Ended in Controversy
Spanish streamer Elxokas (Joaquín Domínguez) recently partnered with Burger King Spain as part of the Grand King campaign. He created his own custom menu — the Cheese Bacon Classic with fresh veggies, fries, a drink, a white chocolate King Fusion ice cream, and collectible keychains. He promoted it heavily in streams, YouTube videos, and shorts, hyping it as superior and optimized, encouraging fans to order it to help him win the competition against other creators.
The partnership quickly unraveled. Burger King canceled the collaboration and removed his menu after backlash over Elxokas' recent statements. This included comments on actress Ester Expósito (criticized as misogynistic) and a heated stream response where he clapped back at a troll mocking his hairline, boasting about his Burger King earnings ("I've made more from this promo than your parents in 20 years") and using strong insults (which of course, it was all a joke with a viewer, and it's usual that he and his community speaks this way).
In his latest stream and explanatory video (shared today on X), Elxokas addressed the situation directly. From his point of view: the issue is resolved without real losses on his end. He views it as wrapped up positively, with no major damage done. He remains confident as the top content creator ("the GOAT") and moved on quickly, framing the cancellation as something that doesn't affect his overall success or momentum.
I'll post below the YouTube video, although it's in Spanish, about him talking about this issue.
